which is the European Liaison Office of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Korea ( EUCCK ) was setup in September of 2004. The purpose of EUKICA together with its representative office in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea ( KETES ) is to help in any possible way to develop industrial cooperation between the EU and the Korean Peninsula .
The overall objective of EUKICA is to promote industrial cooperation projects
between the EU and the Korean Peninsula with particular focus on assisting
Small & Medium Enterprises (SME) from both sides. In order to achieve
this general objective, EUKICA has the following specific aims :

To provide its members with general information regarding any developments
that has an influence on their operations in both South and North
Korea . |

Organize business missions for : |
 |
Korean companies ( or officials ) to EU member states |
 |
EU companies, particularly SMEs ( or officials ) to South or North
Korea |
 |
Maintain contacts with high ranking government officials from the
European Commission as well as from governments, trade organizations,
local business associations and other lobbying groups of EU member
states. |
Full members may be the representatives of business enterprises or organisations
legally registered in any of the 25 EU member states :
 |
Fully owned by an organisation and / or a business enterprise domiciled
in the EU. |
 |
Registered in any of the 25 EU member states as joint-venture partnerships
or companies, with the majority of the equity owned by, or the rights
of management held by organisations domiciled in the EU. |
Associate Members may be the representatives of business enterprises or
organisations legally registered in any of the 25 EU member states, which
are :
 |
Joint-venture partnerships or companies with less than fifty (50)
percent of the equity owned by organizations domiciled in any of the
25 EU member states. |
 |
Majority or fully owned by organisations domiciled in European countries
that are not members of the EU. |
Full, Associate and local members are entitled to nominate one Alternate
member.

Individual members may be individuals with citizenship from any one of the
25 EU member states or EU business enterprises / organisations from any
one of the 25 EU member states.
